Number shows "reserved" instead of "active"

Your new phone number appears with the status “reserved” and a deadline notice.

Cause

German telecommunications law requires verified customer data (Bestandsdaten) before a phone number can be permanently assigned. Until it’s provided, the number stays reserved — this is a legal step, not an error.

Fix

1. Open Settings → Customer data (the Phone numbers page links straight to it).
2. Fill in the short form with your details and save.
3. The number is activated in full immediately.

Calls already work during the deadline

You don’t have to wait: incoming calls to the reserved number already work during the deadline period. The form only prevents the permanent block after the deadline passes.
